Há mais no IPB para além da porcaria das praxes.
Vocês (alunos) podem fazer opções. Ou se deixam espezinhar ou não. A escolha é vossa e não dos burros dos veteranos. Já alguma vez pensaram que na hierarquia das praxes o que prevalece é o número de matrículas? Então esses não são os mais burros? Os que mais chumbaram? Na última quarta-feira (dia 12/11/2008) saía da ESTG de dar aulas cerca das 23h30. Terminava o “julgamento” dos pobres caloiros. Deitados na relva. Aviso que no dia seguinte, se fizeram medições de temperatura na relva às 5h00 da manhã e acusava -6ºC (seis graus negativos na relva).
Depois vejo alguns dos meus alunos completamente cobertos duma substância nojenta que julgo ser uma mistura de ovo, água, farelo. Pelo corpo todo. Creio ter reconhecido um meu aluno ainda que tenha dúvidas porque não estava fácil de distinguir: seria uma pessoa ou um poço de vomitado? As calças pendiam com o peso da humidade. Uma coisa estúpida indescritível. Caminhava com as pernas à cowboy, talvez para não incomodar certas partes do corpo.
Há duas semanas decorria a semana da recepção ao caloiro. Tudo bem. Respeito isso. Achei até de certa forma engraçado porque alguns dos que considero como bons alunos e interessados estavam a dormir na minha aula. Na véspera tinha sido a actuação do Quim Barreiros. Tudo bem. Confessaram que nessa semana dormiram em média 3 horas por dia, e digo dia porque de noite andaram eles a laurear o queijo. Mas quantas semanas de praxe temos afinal? A famosa ajuda à integração é uma anormalidade. O que me dizem os alunos é que as praxes ainda são piores fora da escola. Pelo que vi na escola preocupa-me o que se passa então lá fora.
Nem sei bem porque estou com esta lengalenga pois tal como muitos colegas o referem são os próprios caloiros que se sujeitam para poderem fazer o mesmo aos próximos. E até acham bem e gostam. Concluo portanto que esses são sérios candidatos a veteranos burros. E de maus instintos.
Desculpem o desabafo mas não é isto que eu quero para um filho meu e não creio que os pais dos nossos alunos achassem muita piada se soubessem de metade da missa
Agora pedem-me os alunos para adiar o prazo de entrega dos trabalhos que já deveriam ter apresentado na passada terça-feira…. Pois parece que hoje vai ser o baptismo. Ou prolongo o prazo de entrega ou me arrisco a levar um banho de água benta.

Talvez não seja a pessoa indica para falar do assunto.
Sou um aluno do 3ºano da ESEB. No meu primeiro ano nesta instituição as praxes não foram uma opção, prefiro falar do que gritar para conhecer uma pessoa, e não julgo que ao rastejar ou a fazer outras coisas humilhantes me sinta intregrado. Não me declarei anti-praxe pela simples razão que não tenho que me declarar nada, julgo ser uma pessoa inteligente, acho que os burros é que se têm de declarar de alguma coisa. Acho que as coisas que trazem ao pescoço e a vestimenta suja faz isso por eles. Sinceramente sou contra este tipo de prática, pois não passa para além da humilhação e extravagância. Apenas aumenta o carácter de entre-ajuda? Não me parece, apenas ajuda à formação do não carácter, ou "engolir sapos" não é isso que faz? Só engole sapos quem quer, e acho que não deve ser esse o espírito que deve ser transmitido aos novos participantes nesta comunidade, pois não é a rebaixar que se transmite que se deve lutar por aquilo que se acredita ou tornar essa pessoa num estudante empenhado, se estamos a falar em termos académicos. Para isso basta perguntar a que horas começam e acabam as praxes, e se os alunos que atendem conseguem-se comprometer a fazer os trabalhos impostos por Bolonha? "Há e tal nós projedicamos aqueles que faltam" bom exemplo, talvez não seja o facto de levantar tarde mas sim o facto de se ter deitado tarde.
Metam dois dedos na testa e vejam se a vossa capacidade de raciocínio ainda está lá depois de tanta matricula para se poder vingar... Nem todas as tradições do séc.XVI se manteram, acho que está na hora de mudar, cadê a Inquisição?
Acho que se a desculpa é divertimento, ha outras maneiras de se divertir sem subjugar aqueles que já por si só estão numa situação fragilizada. Um bom encontro, com boa companhia e boa música acho que fazia bem melhor do que filas de estudantes encharcados no meio do lameiro.
Outra coisa é as ameaças feitas, "não podes usar traje" por exemplo, a isto só respondo: - Vem me cá tirar...
"Não podes praxar" - Se sou contra, mesmo que o fosse não o iria fazer.
...etc etc.
Mas isto é apenas uma opinião. Como tal é digna de contestação.

Confesso que tenho um azar dos diabos. Porque coincidência teria logo eu de passar à frente daquele disparate. Quando alguns dos meus alunos (caloiros) me viram passar e viram que eu os vi naquele espectáculo, notei neles um embaraço que me comoveu. Até me sorriram timidamente. Isto dói, …. Isto não é praxe

Peço imensa desculpa estar a responder, mas não consegui resistir...
Na altura em que eu fui caloiro (por sinal aqui no IPB - 95-96) as praxes eram semelhantes (se não mesmo piores que estas), lembro-me de trepar ao Pelourinho que está no meio da praça da Sé para fazer coisas realmente obscenas e de comer coisas que até hoje não consegui identificar :)
Mas ao fim de 2 ou 3 dias de praxe cheguei a uma conclusão muito simples - só alinhava naquilo que realmente queria e quando os "praxantes" começavam a roçar o "mau gosto" simplesmente ia embora e deixava-os a berrar para o espaço... sim, porque as ameaças que eles fazem quando um caloiro é supostamente insubordinado, raramente são cumpridas...
Posso também garantir que com esta atitude, me diverti imenso com a minha praxe.
No final é disso que se trata, de integrar as pessoas no ambiente académico e de fazer amizades que se mantém (posso
garantir) até ao fim do curso e para além dele.
Pena é (como tem vindo a ser dito nesta conversa...) que os "praxantes de mau gosto"
ainda prevaleçam e deixem transparecer uma imagem da instituição e da praxe que está totalmente errada, a meu ver.

Sou caloiro do IPB (ESTIG) e fiquei sem palavras ao ler parte das opiniões aqui colocadas no blog.
Não li a maior parte das palhaçadas escritas neste blog ate porque ha coisas que mais vale ser ignoradas.
Senti-m na obrigaçãode comentar visto que so ha opiniões anti-praxe, coisa que so na internet, pois na cara poucos o fazem.
Fui praxado e não fui obrigado a fazer nada, e sempre que fazia coisas fora do normal as quais voces chamam "riduculas" eu sorria e fazia com orgulho de ser caloiro e meter algum divertimento no grupo.
Por acaso conheço o Guilherme, respeito a opiniao dele e onde ele diz: "Não me declarei anti-praxe pela simples razão que não tenho que me declarar nada, julgo ser uma pessoa inteligente, acho que os burros é que se têm de declarar de alguma coisa." concordo plenamente. É muito simples, ninguem é obrigado a nada. Se eu não quisesse ser praxado tambem não assinava nada.
Eu adorei as minhas praxes e tenho saudades das noites em que saia pela cidade enquanto conhecia o pessoal do meu curso. Não me venham dizer que não haver praxe não nos impede de conhecer as pessoas porque não é a mesma coisa, e quem nunca foi praxado infelizmente para eles não teem essa experiencia para comparar e expressar opinião.
Daqui a 2 anos quero receber os meus caloiros, não para os "foder" como dizem esses "bichos anti-siciais", em que aposto que a maioria deles deve ter alguma depressão e amigos que se contam pelos dedos, mas para os ajudar a conhecer a cidade, o IPB, a conviver e a ter orgulho do curso e da escola onde estudam.
Respeitem as duas partes, quem quiser vai as praxes e tem direito as tradições academicas, quem não quer que se limite a tirar o curso e não venha estragar o ambiente..

Há malta que gosta de "comer" à custa dos outros e tem que se resolver isto de uma vez por todas.
Eu vi o comentário do Prof. Xavier e é isso mesmo, a malta chega cega ao ensino superior e há um monte de parasitas que se aproveitam dos miúdos.
Os caloiros tem que ser defendidos e apoiados.
Os que quiserem continuar com as praxes, que saibam pelo menos que podem dizer não e basta quando quiserem sem represálias.
